In the midst of divorce, Olavi (Juho Milonoff) retreats to his summer cottage only to find that the ceiling has mysteriously come down.
Out of 4834 films submitted to the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, The Ceiling was one of only nine films selected. It was awarded the Special Distinction of the Jury and has since been screened at several prominent film festivals such as Telluride Film Festival, Nordisk Panorama, Hollyshorts and Encounters Bristol.
Director Teppo Airaksinen has previously directed the feature films Fanatics and Lapland Odyssey 2 as well as tv-series Downshifters and Kimmo.
The Ceiling is written by Melli Maikkula and produced by John Lundsten – both co-founders of TACK Films.
